 
Mugenkyo Taiko Drummers’ main work is at theatres and concert halls, touring a two hour concert across the UK and Europe. The concert presents taiko in a modern and theatrical style – with precise choreography, dramatic lighting, and a variety costumes ranging from the post-apocalyptic industrial look to gorgeous earthy silks.
The concert is extremely musically varied – thundering rhythms on huge taiko drums interweave with delicate and expressive shinobue bamboo flute, masked dance and layers of subtle percussive soundscapes. The concert captivates the audience with its passion, its exuberance, its humour and its intensity, journeying through a myriad of moods, from the heart-pounding excitement of Ikkyo, to the dark sinister Otherworld, to the hypnotic Phoenix, to the happy festival atmosphere of Matsuri. |
